ROYAL SOUTH STREET SOCIETY

Royal South Street Society Dance Eisteddfod first partnered with MOPAC in 2022 to provide opportunities to performers wanting to further pursue their passion for performing.

The Royal South Street Society is the longest running eisteddfod in Australia having celebrated it’s inaugural year in 1891 after commencing as “The Young Men’s General Debating Society” in 1879.

Now with 13 disciplines catering to all forms of performance and all abilities, this eisteddfod has grown and developed partnerships with some of the most prominent organizations relevant to the various disciplines. It is in this that Royal South Street’s Dance Eisteddfod has made the connection with MOPAC.

Offering opportunities for dancers of all ages to compete in troupes, duos/trios, solos and championships the caliber of performers has grown to an internationally competitive level. This

attracts requests from adjudicators across the country to have the opportunity to work with the eisteddfod and sees these partnerships with leaders in the industry such as MOPAC grow and strengthen as each year passes.

It is our aim to continue to develop opportunities for those performing within our eisteddfod to pursue their dreams and connect with those who can assist them. Furthermore, to encourage positive competition and opportunities to learn and showcase an incredible level of talent, technique and showmanship.
