- Full Time Course Coordinator
After commencing her dance training at age 3, Emmalee refined her dance training at the Barabra Lynch School of Dance and further completed Full Time Musical Theatre training at IPAS. She then extended her training through tertiary study, and additionally holds a Certificate II in Dance Performance & Production (Ausdance), a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management (Australian Dance Institute), a Certificate III Business Management (RMIT), a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and is a level 1 in AUSLAN (VicDeaf).
Internationally, Emmalee has toured with the original Australian musical ‘Spirit’ (UK & USA), performing at Her Majesty’s Summer Palace; Sandringham House as well as The Australian Embassies of Washington and London, and returned to the USA as a noted Dance Specialist for the Summer Entertainment Program in Maine, USA.
Nationally, Emmalee was a swing for the Australian Professional Rodeo Association (APRA) touring dance team ‘The Whipettes’, performing on the flaming stages at venues such as The Rod Laver Arena, as well as performing for such Australian events as; The AFL Grand final (MCG), Melbourne-Moomba-Waterfest-Parade, The Australian Grand Prix, Candy Man – The Musical (Arts Centre Melbourne), Monsterball (Lady Gaga tribute show), The Melbourne International Comedy Festival (Melbourne town hall) and Crown Entertainment Complex Christmas Dance Extravoganza with artists including Irene Cara, Anthony Callea, The Young Divas, The Blackhill Ramblers, Jessica Mauboy, and Charlie Pickering.
Emmalee has owned and operated her own Dance Costume hire business ‘Dance Costume Closet’ as well as working as the office administrator for Annabelle Entertainment, Patrick Studios Australia and was the Entertainment Coordinator for Melbourne City Events.
Choreographically, Emmalee has worked closely with Deakin, Monash and Melbourne Universities, with her creative work being nominated for; Gippsland Associated Theatre Awards (Carmen, Warragul Performing Arts Centre), Lyrebird Awards (13 – The Musical) as well as The Music Theatre Guild Awards (Elton John and Tim Rice’s AIDA), most recently choreographing the Jude Perl "Boys and Girls" Music Video (Nominated and Screened at Melbourne Fringe Festival, The Astor Theatre) as well as the new Australian touring musical ‘Grey’s Lobotomy’ (The Alex Theatre, St Kilda).
