
After training as a singer and actor since childhood, Sarah started singing professionally at the age of 16 fronting Cover Bands for many years, and performing Solo Vocal Appearances. She was the Lead Singer for an original band called Q the Band at the age of 17, for which she helped write the songs, some of which received Triple J airplay as well as other radio play. She also worked recording demos for Commercials and TV shows.
At the age of 20, having never performed in a Musical before, Sarah auditioned for her favourite musical Les Miserables, and was cast in the role of (adult) Cosette. It was during that season that she realised her calling – Musical Theatre, so that year she auditioned to attend the best training institution for Musical Theatre in Australia, and was one of 18 accepted into WAAPA’s Music Theatre Course for 2004.
Sarah has shared stages with artists such as James Morrision, Bardot, Georgie Parker, Guy Sebastian, the Wiggles, David Campbell, Toni Lammond, Lisa McCune and Rachael Beck. She has worked with Directors such as Nancye Hayes, Tony Sheldon, John Milson and Sir Richard Bonyer. She has performed for the likes of John Howard, Todd McKenny and Toni Lammond.
In recent years Sarah has performed at the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Entertainment Centre, The Seymour Centre (Sydney), the State Theatre (Sydney), the Perth Entertainment Centre, the Perth Exhibition Centre, just to name a few.
She has performed Lead Roles in many Musicals and Plays, as well as many Concert and Cabaret Singing Appearances across the country (details below). She has also appeared in Australian Films Azadi and Dr Plonk (with Magda Szubanski) and her WAAPA Graduation Showreel was part of the St Kilda film Festival in 2006.
At the start of 2009, Sarah relocated from Sydney to Melbourne. In Sydney, around her performing schedule, she taught for Kidz on Stage, The McDonald College of the Arts, Pro-Create Productions and Kick Performance Group. She directed a Production of Aladdin in 2007 which showcased 90 children and showed for 6 shows at the Tom Mann Theatre in Sydney.
