Petra Camille Sawicki is a dynamic individual who showed an affinity for performing and production at the age of four. At an early age she found herself training full-time, gaining a Diploma in Performing Arts and studying her Solo Seal RAD. At the young age of 15 she also began performing with Fab Cab 'The Australian Extravaganza' and continued to do so whenever she returned to Australian soil.
'Fab Cab (under the direction of Lynn Morris) consisted of some of the most talented choreographers & dancers that I have ever come across in this industry. I felt so privileged to be able to gain so much stage exposure at a young age. I am honoured to be able to continuously collaborate with them today'
At the age of 17 she was accepted into the final year of one of UK's most renowned performing arts academies, Laine Theatre Arts & the rest is history. For the past 10 years she has performed professionally in Europe, USA & Asia. Her CV lists everything form classical shows, commercial videos, cruise ships, musical theatre productions, release / industrial shows & cabaret collaborations. At the age of 21 she situated herself in Hollywood before moving back to London for a second time and amongst taking on the dance captain and staging role for Jean Ann Ryan Productions, Miami FL (Rockin’ with the Rhythm, 42nd Street, American In Paris, Bob Fosse’s Swing Swing Swing, Footloose and many more) she continuously trained at the Millennium Dance Complex (Los Angeles), The Edge Studios (Los Angeles), The Broadway Dance Centre (NYC), Steps (NYC) and of course her home country, Australia. For many years she has also been involved in the Art Directing / Managing scene with the globally recognized Park West (Michigan, USA).
When not busy casting, cultivating styles / routines and staging performances she enjoys managing artists and involving herself with current productions.
Petra has just recently left her Canadian performing arts academy positions (at the Harbor Dance Centre, Tempo Dance Academy & Sara Raymond Dance Academy) to manage Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance - Talent Agency and Production department. She loves guiding performers s in their chosen field, providing ‘A class’ employment for the elite dancer, and also providing stage experience and exposure for those dancers who are just breaking into the dance scene / market.
Dancers almost swear by her talent. She has been a stager, choreographer, artist manager, instructor & mentor for many years and has had her feet wet in almost every form of dance
(her future only promises more of the same).
