Michael Ralph

Michael studied dance, singing and acting from a young age in his hometown of Tauranga, New Zealand. He moved to Australia in 2007 to study full time performing arts at Danceworld Studios Melbourne.

 

CATS (RUG) was his professional musical theatre debut when he joined the international touring company for the China and Korea seasons in 2007/2008. He played the role of Pouncival. In 2010 Michael performed in FAME the Musical (GFO) playing the role of Swing and role cover to Goody and Schlomo for its Australian tour. He also had the privilege to return to CATS for its Manila and Taiwan seasons to play the role of Skimbleshanks – working with Lea Salonga a career highlight! Michael has a true passion for Music Theatre and dance and enjoys teaching and choreographing.

 

In 2010 he had the opportunity to choreograph Flinders Street, a piece for Magnormas “Oz Made Musicals” working alongside Thern Reynolds as director. He promises a fun and energetic class always filled with style and a huge variety of music choices!
