
Jackie has 27 years of extensive performance experience, 13 years of which has been teaching dance. Jackie holds a Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Honours in dance all from Deakin University. Jackie was awarded the Vice Chancellors Award from Deakin University in 2000. Her choreography is exciting, ground breaking and accessible, producing highly acclaimed works in both hip hop and contemporary styles, some of her later work being a fusion of both.
Jackie has recently returned from 5 successful years in the UK, choreographing and dancing for performances in the West End, Sadler's Wells, the BBC and the Place. Her work incorporated a diverse range of demographics, including youth dance, young people with behavioral problems/mental & physical disabilities and professional dancers from all over the World. Jackie developed and directed one of London's premier youth dance crews. As part of the senior management team at a London Secondary School, Jackie was head of the dance, drama and gifted and talented departments for 5 years. As well as dancing, educating and choreographing, Jackie is involved in producing video and audio works for both live performance and dance film/documentaries.
Jackie started her business career early in 1997 for EDG (Entertainment Development Group). Through this company Jackie worked as the Training & Development Manager and was involved in the development and opening of six EDG sites including a secondment to New York. Jackie's experience includes the position of Venue Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager and Functions and Events Manager. Most recently as the Training manager for Strike Bowling Bar, she has been involved in the opening and ongoing support of 7 sites nationally.
