
Emily trained at NASDA (National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Art), New Zealand prior to gaining a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theatre from WAAPA. She also studied film and television at Centre Stage, NZ.
While at WAAPA Emily played Vera in Pal Joey, Betsy in Sweet Charity, Tammy Faye Hightower in Bat Boy, a Soloist in Elegies, Ensemble in Crazy For You and Nell in Nick Enrights Bobbin Up. At NASDA she played Ms. Hart in Baby and the title role in Jane Eyre. Emily has played lead roles in the short films Frosting (Kaye) and Hindsight (Natalie) and in the soon to be released feature film Last of the Living (Stef).
Last year she was honoured to perform in Guys and Dolls in Melbourne and to work as Dance Captain and Swing for the Gala performance of Breast Wishes. This year she has worked in Guys and Dolls in Sydney and is looking forward to touring Asia in Jekyll and Hyde.
Emily has taught singing, dancing and acting in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Christchurch and Auckland over the last seven years. She has been a proud member of Equity since 2007.
