Effie comes to Ministry of Dance with 20 years experience of teaching classical ballet.Begining at the age of 5, under the guidance of well-known and respected teacher Sandra Allan, Effie achieved many accolades. One of Victorias first Cecchetti scholars chosen by Dame Peggy van Praagh D.B.E, O.B.E, F.I.S.T, Effie was fortunate to have had classes with ballet greats such as Lucette Aldous, O.A.M. Alan Alder, Laurel Martyn, Peggy Sager, Gailene Stock, Colin Peasley O.A.M. and many others.

She was also selected along with Jason Coleman to appear in the Cecchetti Golden Jubilee celebrations in a ballet choreographed by Mark Annear and Kathy Butler. Effie danced and taught in Sydney with Dianne Pokorny, former company member with the Australian Ballet and teacher/examiner for Cecchetti Ballet Australia. She was there for a number of years before moving overseas where she taught privately. On her return to Australia, Effie taught at various schools around Melbourne. Some of Effie's past students have gained places in professional institutions in Australia and abroad.Effie is an active member with Cecchetti Ballet Victoria.
