
Dianne started singing, dancing and acting from an early age and performed as a busker right up until age 13 when she entered a singing competition which she won and then went on to perform for annual events for over 5000 people as a solo vocalist. This then lead on to various live radio appearances.
She relocated to the UK where she joined Wizzkids Theatre Company in Cambridge, which she was apart of from 2000-2004. Selected theatre and TV credits there included: Bugsy Malone, Guys and Dolls, Eastenders, CBBC’s kaching, Attempts on Her Life and Shakespeare’s Merchant of Venice. She also recorded 5 Albums during her time in the UK with highly acclaimed Jazz musicians Chris Ingham and Kevin Flannigan.
She has also studied ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary dance from an early age gaining an International Baccalaureate Diploma in world dance studies in 2004. She moved back to Australia at the end of 2004 and graduated from NIDA’s Singer Actor Dancer in 2005 and then went on to study a Bachelor of Arts in Music Theatre at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), graduating in 2008. Selected Theatre credits there included: West Side Story, Blood Brothers, Boy Overboard, Hello Again, Oklahoma, Sweeney Todd and the short film Ace Neally.
Dianne has just returned from an 11 month musical tour with LATT children’s theatre company around South Korea during which time she also recorded a DVD and CD for commercial distribution.
Dianne is very passionate about her craft and about inspiring and passing on her knowledge to the next generation. She believes that technique is the base of everything but that we mustn’t forget about the story the song is telling and the journey we are taking our audience on.
