JASON COLEMAN'S MINISTRY OF DANCE

Suzie Mallia - 1/11/08

We recently attended a rehearsal session at the Ministry of Dance Studio and we were totally blown away by the quality of the premises, the helpfulness and personalities of the staff and the overall standard of the centre!

Tamara Dawes - 21/1/09

To The Wonderful Team at Ministry I would like to take the opportunity to say thank you! My 10 daughter Shannon attended your summer school and had a fantastic time. Not only did she learn some funky new moves, she made new friends and was fortunate enough to be offered a scholarship for next year’s Summer School. It means a great deal to both Shannon and myself to be given such a fantastic opportunity and for that we are both truly grateful.I would like to personally extend my thanks to Mr Jason Coleman, for rejuvenating the opportunities for dance here in Melbourne. I look forward to Shannon being involved with the Ministry of Dance for many years to come.

A BIG THANK YOU to Jason and the whole Ministry Family – we had the best time down there last week for the Summer School. My girls were beaming and loved every minute of it!!! Jason is an amazing person with a beautiful heart, as were all the teachers and staff. Nothing was a problem to him and everything was done with a smile and so much encouragement and passion towards all the kids, dancers and non dancers. Elissa, Chantelle and Bejay have come away with so much (including tired and aching muscles and bodies J) and will continue their passion for their art and “Dance like they love it!! Because they do. Looking forward to news on next year’s Summer School! With best wishes for a hugely successful year to all.

Jasmine & Mandy Susic - 22/1/09

I have been meaning to applaud, commend and thank you for the most wonderful summer school experience provided at the Ministry. I don't have the words to describe how we feel, but these are the words I have been telling friends: enthusiastic, vibrant, attentive, quality, energetic, creative etc. etc. It was truly a wonderful experience for Jasmine (under 12) and me (Mum!). I know too the few of us from Lisa Pellin's Leongatha school felt the same. We were very impressed with the quality of teaching and feel privileged our girls (and boy) were exposed to the creative talent you have and the passion is inspiring for our young ones. Mind you, it was nice to see our dance teacher as a "Mum" as well, and we appreciate her talent and creativity and skill as well. I would love to bring Jasmine regularly to Saturday classes, however due to distance and other commitments, it may not be as regularly as we would like. Are you planning on holding any weekend workshops for under 12s? Or could we treat the timetable as a casual class timetable? We are looking forward to next year's summer school and trust you will keep us posted. Also can't wait to see the video clip! That was another great experience in itself! Thank you again to all at the Ministry and we look forward to coming again. Jasmine and Mandy Susic

The Australian Soldier - 1/4/09

Dear Mr Coleman, My name is not important, but what I am is a soldier of 10 years service in the Australian Army. My service to this great country of ours has included operational deployments to the front line in war zones on foreign soil, and in the course of my duties I have been witness to both the greatest acts of courage and compassion as well as the most horrific scenes of death and destruction imaginable to anyone. But through all that some of the most memorable things I have witnessed and experienced is when the Tour De Force have come to our theatre of operations to perform music and dance routines for the soldiers, in those concerts the performers take us away to another world where there is no hate or destruction, to world where there is only beauty and hope, they help us forget the bad and remind us of all that is good and worth fighting for. To my delight when I return to Australia I see on the television the show ‘So you think you can dance’ and as I watch the dancers perform their beautiful and magical routines I am once again taken back to that beautiful world where the human spirit is from the bonds of hate, and where all the human emotions are those that reminds us of what a truly wonderful life this is. So now I would like to take this opportunity to not only thank you Mr Coleman, the dancers on SYTYCD, and the performers of the Tour de Force, but to also thank all the dancers, music makers and performers of the world, thank you for showing the rest of us what greatness and wonder the human soul is truly capable of, you prove that there is hope for humanity after all. Regards, truly and sincerely The Australian Soldier. P.S. With all the great causes out there (Earth Hour, Clean up Australia Day…ect) wouldn’t it be great if there was a day where every one was encouraged to have just one dance, one song, one performance. A day when everyone, no matter where they are, stop what they are doing and, lay down their arms, forget all their troubles and do one performance, whether it was dancing in the street or the office, pick up a musical instrument, sing a song, twirl a baton, paint a painting, anything. A day where the whole world could join in and perform for each other to remind our selves that we are all capable of creating something beautiful, and that this could be a wonderful life, if only we could let go of the bad and embrace the good, through art, for just one day. That would be a nice day!

Dear Nancy, On behalf of myself, Sadie Staley and the Arden Vic Team, we would like to thank you and the team at The Ministry of Dance for a fantastic event on Wednesday Morning. You and the team have been the most helpful and a pleasure to deal with all the way, so we really wanted to take time to say thank you as the whole event ran very smoothly even though we made last minute changes! We do a lot of these events and it is quite rare that we get that level of service with a smile and really that goes for everyone we had to deal with at the venue. We wish you all the best and success the venue deserves, we will recommend your services to anyone looking for a great place to have an event.

Emma Storey (Crown Melbourne Limited) Entertainment Coordinator - 20/2/09

Firstly, thank you very much to you, Nancy, Jason and the rest of the MOD team and performers. The Mix at Fusion AIME night was a great success, and your performers were amazing. It was great to see how the dancers could adapt and accommodate to the night with such ease and professionalism. Jason did a great job with reading the room and altering the running sheet to suit the evening.
